Why was I there? Partly to visit my family, of course. And partly to start up a garden. There's a piece of land at my parents' place that's currently covered with weeds, vines, and a ton of prickers (some of which are raspberries so I may keep a few). My parents decided that if I clear it off I can start a garden there. My goal is to get it cleared before winter so I can plant in the spring. Ideally, I'd like to clear it out, set up raised beds, start compost piles, and plant garlic before winter. I guess I'll see how far I get.
